Job Summary

UNC Health is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team in Eden, North Carolina.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducts diagnostic imaging procedures using Computerized Tomography (CT) equipment to acquire and analyze patient data.
  • Verifies patient identification, obtains medical history, and ensures patient safety and understanding.
  • Administers oral and IV contrast according to protocols, and selects appropriate window and level settings for image analysis.
  • Maintains thorough understanding of Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), and transmits images to relevant departments and electronic medical records.
  • Performs other duties as required, including maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and precepting new employees and students.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science or completion within 3 months at time of application.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligibility.
  • Advanced certification in CT within one year of employment.
  • Successful candidates must become registered within one year of employment and maintain registry status and continuing education requirements annually.
  • Current competency in Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (HCP BLS).
