Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections of pipelines and related equipment to identify potential safety hazards and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Review pipeline construction plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure compliance with safety codes and regulations.
  • Evaluate proposed pipeline routes, material specifications, and construction methods to identify potential safety concerns or risks.
  • Collaborate with project management to implement safety initiatives aimed at reducing risks and enhancing safety performance.
  • Examine and identify potential safety hazards or violations, and record and document inspection findings.
  • Conduct regular audits of pipeline operations and maintenance practices to verify compliance with safety protocols and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and information on safety best practices, including the proper use of personal protective equipment, emergency response procedures, and safe work practices.

Requirements

  • OSHA 30-hour certification
  • 10+ years of experience in pipeline construction and maintenance
  • Four-year occupational safety and health degree or equivalent combinations of technical training or industrial related safety experience
  • Thorough understanding of all federal, state, and company regulations
  • Ability to recognize hazardous situations and recommend corrective measures
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Problem-solving abilities and conflict resolution skills
