Join Our Team as a Financial Analyst
Jefferson Wells International is looking for a dedicated Financial Analyst to support our manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for recent graduates in Finance or Accounting who are eager to develop their careers in a dynamic environment.
Position Overview:
- Oversee all financial accounting activities related to manufacturing.
- Compile and organize financial data to maintain standard costing and inventory systems.
- Establish standards for raw material costs and labor routing, providing insights for cost efficiency.
- Execute various accounting tasks, ensuring adherence to established procedures for record maintenance.
- Engage in special projects focused on cost monitoring and estimation.
- Prepare the annual budget for the manufacturing sector, analyze monthly spending reports, and discuss variances with management.
- Monitor month-end inventory counts and maintain year-end inventory files.
- Assist auditors during inventory audits and ensure compliance with reporting standards.
- Evaluate inventory for potential obsolescence and manage disposal requests as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Accounting or a related field, with a preference for candidates with 3 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing setting. Recent graduates with a Bachelor's in Finance or Accounting are also encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in JD Edwards and MS Excel.
- Familiarity with product knowledge is advantageous for managing inventory requests.
- Experience in preparing budgets and conducting month-end inventory counts.
- Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
