Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist

SSM Health is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at St. Anthony Hospital - Shawnee. As a key member of our imaging department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.

Job Summary

Under the supervision of a licensed physician, you will perform a variety of imaging exams using ultrasound technology to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of illness and injuries. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring accurate and timely results, while maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for patients.

Responsibilities
  • Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to ensure high-quality images.
  • Implement radiation protection and safety standards to minimize exposure and risk.
  • Prepare, perform, and assist physicians in special and advanced procedures, including the administration of contrast media and medications.
  • Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards and maintain a clean, safe, and orderly department.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area, and any other areas in the department.
Requirements
  • Completion of a sonography certification program.
  • No experience required.
  • General Ultrasound and Echo/Cardiac Sonography credentials.
