Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CT Technologist to join our team at Stormont Vail Health. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients, operating radiologic equipment, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic computed tomography procedures, utilizing a pressure injector and administering contrast under supervision.
  • Prepare and position patients for diagnostic computed tomography procedures, adjusting immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified areas of the body.
  • Determine exposure factors based on patient height, weight, and the portion of the body involved, and adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors and produce images of proper detail, density, and accuracy.
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff.
  • Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on radiologic equipment, arranging for repairs as needed.
  • Complete forms and maintain records, logs, and reports of work performed.
  • Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
  • Assist radiologists in examinations.
  • Measure and mix contrast media for oral consumption.
  • Process images and review for proper identification and quality control.
  • Prepare images for reading by radiologists or requesting physicians.
  • Perform office work, including answering phones, obtaining information from computers, and ordering departmental supplies.
  • Perform venipuncture for injections.
Requirements
  • 1 year of CT experience, preferred.
  • Radiography - ARRT certification required.
  • Basic Life Support - BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to radiation. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
