About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Radiology department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of diagnostic medical sonography procedures to provide high-quality exams for interpretation by a Radiologist.
  • Set up and assist in invasive procedures when ultrasound is used as a guidance tool.
  • Position and transfer patients for exams, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Assist physicians in performing invasive procedures, checking necessary lab work pre-exam, and delivering specimens to appropriate areas of the hospital.
  • Practice sterile technique to prevent contamination and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Operate Cerner System proficiently, troubleshoot problems with orders, and make corrections within scope of user level.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree or Graduate of a Technical School.
  • 1-2 years of position-related experience.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
  • Registered as Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer-Abdominal or OB/GYN (RDMS).
