Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement educational programs by creating engaging classroom activities that align with developmental standards.
  • Lead by example and promote teamwork through effective modeling and coaching.
  • Plan both individual and group activities that are age-appropriate to foster social, cognitive, and emotional development.
  • Maintain open communication with parents through informal discussions, progress updates, and conferences.
  • Ensure compliance with all center policies and state regulations.
  • Maintain a healthy and safe classroom environment, ensuring hygiene and cleanliness standards are upheld.
  • Supervise assistants and volunteers to ensure adherence to planned activities and safety protocols.
  • Keep accurate records and documentation.
  • Develop a personal professional growth plan to ensure ongoing quality improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in early childhood education or a related field.
  • Dependable work ethic and a positive attitude.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with basic computer proficiency.
  • High energy and the ability to collaborate effectively with staff, children, and parents.
  • Meet or exceed licensing requirements, including:
    • TB Test
    • Background Check
    • Proof of citizenship
    • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CDA or an Associate's Degree or higher in early childhood education or a related field.
  • Current certification in First Aid/CPR.
  • Current Medication Administration Training (MAT).
