Job SummaryThis position offers an exciting opportunity to join our multidisciplinary team as a Developmental Therapist Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting physical assessments, developing and implementing individualized treatment programs, educating parents/guardians on occupational therapy interventions, and maintaining accurate clinical records.

Responsibilities**Conducting Assessments**: Conduct comprehensive physical assessments for enrolled children to evaluate their developmental needs.
    **Developing Treatment Plans**: Develop and implement individualized treatment programs targeting motor skills, sensory integration, and perceptual development. Ensure environmental adaptations to promote autonomy and independence.
    **Parent Education**: Educate parents/guardians and team members on occupational therapy interventions, providing counsel, support, and advocacy training to parents.
    **Record Keeping**: Maintain accurate and timely clinical and administrative records in compliance with federal/state regulations and program policies.
    **Collaboration**: Address family issues and service coordination needs in collaboration with service coordinators, team leaders, and other providers.
    **Service Coordination**: Act as a service coordinator for families, ensuring comprehensive support and addressing their unique needs.
    **Professional Development**: Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and professional developments in the field of occupational therapy.

Requirements**Licensure**: State and national licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) is required.
    **Certification**: Current certification in infant/adult CPR and First Aid is necessary.
    **Background Screening**: Compliance with all DPH health standards, including background screening, is mandatory.
    **Transportation**: A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel are essential.
    **Experience**: At least 1 year of experience working with young children is required.
    **Language Proficiency**: Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
