Pediatric Emergency Standards, Inc. is seeking a full-time DevOps Engineer. In this capacity, you will play a crucial role in advancing automation as we swiftly enhance our technological capabilities.


Work Schedule Options:

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee our AWS infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation, ensuring adherence to CIS and NIST compliance standards.

• Manage both production and non-production workloads through containerization with Docker.

• Develop and sustain cloud-centric monitoring, logging, and alerting systems that support 24/7 enterprise operations.

• Identify and resolve performance and security challenges within the infrastructure, conducting thorough root cause analyses.

• Explore and implement automation strategies to enhance development and deployment workflows.

• Create and document protocols for system troubleshooting and maintenance.

• Conduct testing across all environments.

• Administer on-site routers and firewalls.

• Provide technical assistance as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineering role.

• Extensive knowledge of deploying and managing distributed systems within AWS.

• Familiarity with the AWS Well-Architected Framework.

• Proficiency in IaC tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.

• Advanced understanding of AWS services including EC2, VPC, EBS, NLB/ALB, SNS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, Lambda, and Elastic Container Service (ECS).

• Strong grasp of CI/CD pipeline automation and related tools, ideally with AWS CodeBuild or GitHub Actions.

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and orchestration technologies.

• Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, and Python.

• Experience managing networks, routers, and firewalls.

• Familiarity with git and git workflows.

• Experience with agile methodologies (SCRUM or KANBAN).

• Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

• Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

• Exceptional organizational capabilities.

• Authorized to work in the US.


Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in regulated environments (e.g., HIPAA).

• Familiarity with tools such as Datadog, Wiz, Snyk, and CrowdStrike.

• Technical background in software development or automation.


Work Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM Eastern Time.
