About the Role
The Blue Shield of California Community Resource Center Representative plays a vital role in supporting the health and well-being of our members by providing in-person assistance at our Community Resource Centers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for resolving issues and inquiries related to member eligibility, benefits, and health services.
Key Responsibilities
- Resolve member inquiries and issues related to eligibility, benefits, and health services
- Compose routine and non-routine correspondence to answer member inquiries in writing
- Coordinate membership changes, such as updating primary care physicians
- Analyze available programs and connect members to appropriate services, including health advocates, social workers, and pharmacists
- Conduct outreach calls and activities to inform members about available health plan benefits and assist with scheduling appointments
- Verify member eligibility for outreach and care gap programs and connect members to relevant services
- Assist with organizing and hosting quality events and participating in Community Resource Center activities
Requirements
- Requires at least 3 years of professional experience
- Requires broad knowledge of operational systems and practices typically gained through extensive experience and/or education
- Requires being bilingual in Spanish as demonstrated by successful completion of an oral language proficiency test
- Requires at least 6 months of experience with Medi-Cal enrollment guidelines, specifically Medi-Cal renewal/redetermination process
- Requires customer service background
- Must demonstrate a positive attitude, flexibility, professionalism, and dependability in all workplace activities
Pay Range
The pay range for this role is: $20.47 to $28.66 for California.

Blue Shield of California salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location, and current employee salaries for similar roles.
