Access Control Specialist

Job Summary
Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Access Control Specialist to join our team of security professionals. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our facilities and personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access to restricted areas, ensuring that only authorized personnel have access.
- Conduct thorough searches of employees and visitors to prevent prohibited items from entering the facility.
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees and visitors, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Remain vigilant and aware of your surroundings at all times, identifying and reporting any potential security threats.
- Collaborate with other security personnel to ensure a safe and secure work environment.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Currently hold an active Top Secret/Secret Clearance with Polygraph.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, as well as weekends and holidays.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid state driver's license in good standing.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Ability to pass a background investigation and maintain a high level of security clearance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment
Amentum is a dynamic and fast-paced work environment that requires our employees to be adaptable and flexible. As an Access Control Specialist, you will be working in a secure facility with a high level of security protocols in place.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and move quickly in response to security threats.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment as needed.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
