Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control access to restricted areas, ensuring that only authorized personnel have access.
  • Conduct thorough searches of employees and visitors to prevent prohibited items from entering or leaving the facility.
  • Remain alert and aware of surroundings at all times, identifying potential security threats and taking prompt action to mitigate them.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all employees and visitors, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Collaborate with other security professionals to ensure a seamless and effective security operation.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing security protocols and procedures, adapting to new situations and challenges as they arise.

Requirements:

  • Active Top-Secret Clearance
  • Ability to work 2nd shift (2:00pm-10:00pm +/- 1 hour) Monday - Friday
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Poly
  • Valid state driver's license in good standing
  • High School diploma or GED
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Currently live within a 75-mile radius of Annapolis Junction, MD
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and move quickly in response to security threats
  • Ability to see and hear clearly, with or without corrective lenses
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to lift and move objects as needed
