Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled IT Systems Engineer to enhance our operations at Mirion Technologies, Inc. The successful candidate will possess a robust IT background with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a corporate setting.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Architect, deploy, and oversee backup systems utilizing Veeam software.
  • Support the Service Desk team by resolving issues at the end-user, network, and server application levels.
  • Contribute to the development and upkeep of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Lead IT projects focusing on Backup/Recovery and Infrastructure Monitoring (both On-Premises and Cloud).
  • Analyze irregularities, inform stakeholders, and coordinate necessary corrective measures.
  • Explore and assess new technologies and services. Engage in planning, designing, implementing, documenting, and maintaining IT systems projects.
  • Facilitate cross-training among team members.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related discipline, or 5 years of pertinent experience.
  • Proficient troubleshooting and technical capabilities, including familiarity with hardware, software, operating systems, and networking.
  • In-depth understanding of backup methodologies and technologies, with practical experience in Veeam software.
  • Preferred certifications include Veeam VMCE or VMCA.
  • Self-driven, with strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally or work outside of standard hours.
