Job Overview

Position: Welding Quality Assurance Inspector

Shift: Morning

Compensation: $34.03 - $45.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in the ongoing enhancement of the manufacturing processes within the organization.
  • Execute quality assessments to confirm the integrity of operational systems.
  • Support the Purchasing team in addressing supplier-related quality concerns.
  • Collaborate with engineering and service teams to resolve customer quality challenges.
  • Facilitate customer audits as needed.
  • Maintain precision inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, and pin gauges.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical abilities to troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Possess foundational knowledge of process optimization and data analysis techniques (e.g., KPIs, SPC, Lean methodologies).
  • Interpret technical drawings and understand welding symbols.
  • Conduct inspections of welds in accordance with AWS D1.1 standards for visual acceptance criteria.
  • Assess manufactured or procured components against specifications or drawings.
  • Assist in investigating non-conformance issues and identifying root causes.
  • Perform non-destructive testing methods such as ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and penetrant testing.
Qualifications

Minimum of an Associate's degree or equivalent from a technical institution; or six months to one year of relevant experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.
