We are currently seeking a Financial Planning Analyst to join our Finance department at our headquarters. This full-time position requires a dedicated individual to support various financial functions through detailed reporting and analytical efforts.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Play a pivotal role in the Finance team, contributing to budgeting, forecasting, and comprehensive financial analysis.
  • Develop and enhance intricate financial models, including Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and Bank Covenant Tracking.
  • Prepare insightful monthly analyses comparing actual results against budgeted figures.
  • Assist in the month-end closing process through thorough analysis and reporting.
  • Monitor budget variances and recommend strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Build and manage detailed financial models to support new business ventures and financing initiatives.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to facilitate business decisions and support due diligence efforts as needed.
  • Prepare and review materials for quarterly board meetings and monthly executive leadership discussions.
  • Support the preparation of bank covenants on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Assist in the effective planning and budgeting of business outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics to analyze business results.
Qualifications

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong foundational knowledge in Accounting, Reporting, and Financial Analysis.
  • Understanding of the relationship between Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to ERP systems and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
  • Dependability and adaptability to handle changing priorities and demands.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting is required; an MBA or CMA is preferred.

Experience:

A minimum of three years of experience in accounting or financial planning and analysis, preferably within a manufacturing context.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with ERP systems.
