MOPA Laser Hardware Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled MOPA Laser Hardware Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Fremont, California. As a key member of our international team, you will be responsible for driving the manufacturing of MOPA lasers and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise MOPA Laser manufacturing teams
  • Develop, plan, execute, and report manufacturing processes
  • Interface directly with customers to establish product specifications, quality, and execution plans
  • Develop new methods and protocols to accelerate product and component failure modes
  • Track and correct failures for products in NPI process and in normal production
  • Ensure automated data collection and control of instruments, reporting data and analysis
  • Publish results to the business unit
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's / Master's / PhD degree in a technical field with 10+ years of related experience
  • Continuous improvement skills
  • Knowledge of MOPA Laser, YAG, lasers for material processing, high power lasers, pulsed lasers, ultrafast lasers
  • Ability to drive a team and work across international groups
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • General understanding of optics, fiber optics, electronics, mechanical engineering, and chemistry
  • Experience with automated data collection
  • Excellent communication skills
