Orthopedic Cast Technician

Shriners Children's is a leading pediatric medical center seeking a skilled Cast Tech to join our team in the Outpatient Department.
Job SummaryThe Cast Tech is responsible for assisting healthcare providers with the application, maintenance, and removal of casts, as well as providing instruction to patients and families on proper cast care.
Responsibilities- Assist providers with cast application and removal procedures
- Provide developmentally appropriate explanations to patients and families
- Offer cast care instructions to patients and families
- Assist with infection prevention processes
- Prepare cast rooms daily and maintain accurate inventory of supplies
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant required
- Orthopedic Cast Technician program/training preferred
- One year of experience as Orthopedic Technician or related work experience
- BLS required
