Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Recreational Therapist to join our team at Universal Health Services. As a key member of our behavioral health team, you will be responsible for providing therapeutic recreation services to patients, developing and implementing activity programs, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement therapeutic recreation programs to promote physical, emotional, and social well-being of patients
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans to address individual patient needs
  • Collaborate with medical, nursing, and other program staff to ensure comprehensive care
  • Document patient progress and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new programs and services
Requirements
  • Certified or eligible for certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS)
  • 1-2 years of experience in recreational therapy or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software and ability to learn new systems quickly
