Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate daily and weekly activities that promote socialization, physical activity, and mental stimulation for residents.
  • Collaborate with the Resident Care Supervisor and Assistant Administrator to ensure activities align with resident needs and preferences.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of resident limitations and abilities to create inclusive and accessible activities.
  • Manage activity supplies and materials, including requesting purchases as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident participation and feedback.
  • Work closely with the dietary staff to assist with meal service and ensure dietary restrictions are respected.
  • Participate in infection control practices and maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Report any resident concerns or unusual behavior to the Resident Care Supervisor or Assistant Administrator.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Physical ability to perform duties that may include walking, stooping, kneeling, lifting, and pushing/pulling.
