Nature and Scope

The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Collaborating with other professional disciplines ensures effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Collects patient health data.
  • Analyzes the assessment data in determining diagnoses/patient problems.
  • Identifies expected outcomes individualized to the patient.
  • Develops a plan of care that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomes.
  • Implements the interventions identified in the plan of care.
Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Current California RN license. Must possess current certification in CPR. ACLS and PALS required, or willing to obtain within six months of employment.
