Travel Nurse - PCU

We are seeking a skilled Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nurse to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a PCU nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to individuals who require close monitoring and frequent assessment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients
  • Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs as needed
  • Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions
  • Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret electronic displays
  • Initiate corrective action when monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology
Requirements:
  • ACLS and BLS certification
  • 1 year of recent acute care experience
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds easily and up to 50 pounds at times
