Openwork is assisting a local client in their search for a skilled Production Technician in Canton, GA.

As a Production Technician, you will play a vital role in the manufacturing process of blades and blower wheels. Your responsibilities will encompass operating various production equipment and ensuring the quality of manufactured components.

Responsibilities:
  • Interpret blueprints, customer specifications, production schedules, and instructions to execute tasks accurately.
  • Operate punch presses for blade section fabrication, assemble wrap components, and set up assembly presses for wheel manufacturing. True wheels as required by established processes.
  • Utilize precision measuring tools like micrometers and rulers to inspect parts according to standard operating procedures. Document inspection findings on provided forms and adjust press systems accordingly.
  • Manage die changes, including assembly dies and components. Adjust straighteners, coil reels, and conveyor systems for optimal operation.
  • Interact with shop floor computer terminals to record time and production activities efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records by adding or updating MP 245 tags on containers.
  • Exercise meticulous care in the handling of tools, equipment, and materials to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Process paperwork, labeling, and other documentation based on work instructions, work-in-progress status, customer specifications, quality audits, and relevant requirements.
  • Complete required reports and records accurately and promptly.
  • Proactively identify and report faulty equipment, defective materials, improper operations, and unusual conditions to supervisory personnel.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or GED certificate is preferred.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.
  • Proficiency in operating factory machinery safely and effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear and concise interaction with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make independent decisions.
  • Commitment to completing daily tasks efficiently and meeting deadlines consistently.
  • Unwavering adherence to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Reliable transportation to ensure punctual attendance at work.
