Bartender (On-Call) Position

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team at Compass Group, North America. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages to guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
  • Set up assigned bars, requisition, and stock all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice, and produce.
  • Maintain stock, prepare, cure, and store all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables to ensure product quality.
  • Greet guests in a courteous, friendly manner, take and/or process orders for drinks, mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes, and practice prudent portion control.
  • Check guests at the bar for proper identification, detect and act upon guest inebriation as trained, and demonstrate knowledge of liquor laws.
  • Receive cash from guests, make change, verify validity of charges, record charges, and ensure vouchers are properly executed.
  • Lock up and store all beverage product, food, equipment items, deposits, and cash drops, and secure bank.
  • Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards, keep work area clean and organized, arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in the bar area, and wash and sterilize stemware.
