Radiology Technologist

The ideal candidate will assist physicians in a variety of diagnostic and invasive procedures, specializing in the care of patients undergoing exams such as peripheral angiography, stent placement, PTA, cerebral angiography, embolizations, tube placements, and thrombolytic therapies.
Responsibilities will include preparing and positioning patients for procedures, providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation, and minimize anxiety. You will also select proper technical factors and operate and position all digital imaging equipment and accessories.
Additionally, you will prepare and operate pressure injectors per department protocol for administration of contrast media, practice aseptic technique in all procedures, and perform scrub duties according to standard care plans. You will also assist physicians with introduction of guidewires, catheters, balloons, stents, etc. in complex diagnostic and invasive procedures.
Key qualifications include certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in radiography, current BCLS certification, and two years of current radiography experience. Preferred qualifications include two years of current Hybrid Operating Room, Interventional or Cardiovascular Technology experience.
