Job Summary

Covenant HealthCare is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team in the Hybrid Operating Room. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for supporting special procedures and ensuring the safe delivery of fluoroscopy.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and position patients for procedures, providing instructions to obtain desired results and minimize anxiety.
  • Select and operate digital imaging equipment and accessories, ensuring proper technical factors.
  • Prepare and operate pressure injectors for administration of contrast media.
  • Practice aseptic technique in all procedures, prepping and draping patients in a timely manner.
  • Perform scrub duties, assisting physicians with introduction of guidewires, catheters, balloons, stents, and other equipment.
  • Achieve hemostasis manually and/or mechanically, assessing puncture sites and hemostasis.
  • Operate computer software to save and retrieve data, create roadmaps, and loops, performing vessel analysis and reconstructions.
  • Evaluate images and data for technical quality, producing quantitative and 3D measurements and images when indicated.
  • Ensure processed images are networked to PACS in a timely manner, using RIS to update scheduling and billing records.
Requirements
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in radiography, with modality-specific registry preferred.
  • Current BCLS certification, preferred.
  • Two years of current radiography experience, with two years of Hybrid Operating Room, Interventional, or Cardiovascular Technology experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision, with demonstrated knowledge of radiation safety, hospital safety, and infection control policies and procedures.
  • Computer literacy, with ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.
Working Conditions

This position requires frequent walking, twisting, reaching, handling, feeling, talking, and hearing. Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, crouching, and squatting may be required.
