Job Summary:

The Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist is a vital member of the Conway Regional Health System team, responsible for performing a variety of specialized technical tasks in Diagnostic Ultrasound. This role requires the utilization of high frequency sound waves to assist medical and professional personnel in detecting anatomical abnormalities while adhering to the organization's policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing a range of technical tasks in Diagnostic Ultrasound, including utilizing high frequency sound waves to detect anatomical abnormalities.
  • Assisting medical and professional personnel in detecting anatomical abnormalities.
  • Complying with Conway Regional Health System policies and procedures.
  • Documenting and communicating essential information to professional/technical health care personnel.
  • Verifying orders and charging procedures.
  • Working knowledge of the PACS system.
  • Transporting patients with necessary paperwork completion.

Qualifications:

  • Vascular certification from a recognized accrediting body (Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)) within one year of employment.
  • Maintaining professional status as an active registered member of the accrediting body, fulfilling continuing medical education (CME) requirements.
  • BLS certification or eligibility.
  • Previous computer experience.
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission and Arkansas Department of Health requirements preferred.
  • Aggression management training prior to completion of orientation.
