The position is hybrid, requiring in-person attendance at the ALA office in San Jose, California, for two days each week.

Agency Overview: Established in 1977, the Asian Law Alliance is a non-profit legal organization committed to serving the Asian and Pacific Islander communities in Santa Clara County.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Representation: Assess cases for appropriate action; represent clients in a range of immigration issues.
  • Community Outreach: Conduct legal education sessions and develop informative resources.
  • Advocacy and Community Engagement: Promote community interests and collaborate with service organizations.
  • Volunteer Management: Provide training and oversight for volunteers participating in ALA initiatives.
  • Fundraising Support: Assist in promoting the ALA's mission within the community.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active membership in the State Bar; California Bar membership is preferred.
  • Prior experience in immigration law is advantageous.
  • Strong commitment to serving the immigrant community.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus.
  • Availability for flexible working hours is necessary.
  • A valid California driver's license and access to a vehicle are required.
  • Full vaccination is mandatory.

Compensation: Salary range is $74,750 - $81,350, inclusive of benefits.
