Job Summary

Vantage Point Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Operations Center Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the Network Operations Center team and ensuring the stability and security of our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and oversight to a team of technical experts responsible for supporting network infrastructure operations.
  • Network Monitoring: Operate in a constantly evolving environment, adapting quickly to new information and re-prioritizing as needed.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with team members across the networking, managed services, and IT security groups to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Process Improvement: Define and document metrics to judge the efficiency and effectiveness of the Incident Management Process.
  • Surveillance and Fault Management: Core network oversight, including monitoring segments of core distribution, and access networks.
  • Reporting: Report on previous business day's Network Operations Center call volume and SLAs.
  • Documentation: Create, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures, Technical User Guides, and Customer Contact Database.
  • Method of Procedures (MOP): Develop MOP, configuration scripts, and supporting documentation for scheduled network maintenance.
  • Event Coordination: Coordinate, advance, and/or resolve operational system/application/network events that have the potential of negatively impacting system and application availability to the user community.
  • Process Optimization: Identify strategic changes of teams' workflow where automation and process changes can be made to gain efficiency.
Requirements
  • Education: A bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in computer science, telecommunication engineering, information technology, or a related field.
  • Certifications: Various Network and Security certifications desired (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, ITIL).
  • Experience: 7-10 years of demonstrated ability in network administration, network engineering, or network troubleshooting.
  • Leadership Experience: 3 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably within a Network Operations Center.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of network protocols including BGP, OSPF, ISIS, VLANs.
  • Soft Skills: Demonstrated history of optimally leading and mentoring teams, prior experience managing ticket escalations, and coordinating support.
