About the Role

Magna Services is seeking a Data Engineer to join our Software Platform team. As a Backend Developer with cloud experience, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the server-side components of our applications.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our systems are scalable, reliable, and secure. Your expertise in cloud platforms will be crucial in optimizing our infrastructure and deploying solutions that leverage cloud-native features.

This role will be onsite 3 days per week in our Lowell, MA office. The salary range for this position is approximately $120,000 - $150,000 per year, based on location and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design & Development: Develop robust, scalable, and high-performance backend systems and APIs.
  • Cloud Integration: Leverage cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to deploy, manage, and scale applications.
  • Database Management: Design and maintain databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and performance.
  • Security: Implement and maintain security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and data protection.
  • Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks. Monitor application performance and implement improvements as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience in Computer Science or a relevant technical field.
  • Experience with Microservices: Knowledge and experience with microservices architecture.
  • 5+ years of experience in backend development with a strong focus on cloud technologies.
