Position: Member Service Representative
The role of the Member Service Representative is pivotal in supporting SeaComm Federal Credit Union's mission to provide exceptional service to our members. This position is focused on understanding the financial needs of our members and offering tailored credit union solutions. Additionally, the representative will facilitate various financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in every interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and refer credit union products and services to enhance member satisfaction.
- Greet members warmly, providing essential information about services and directing them to the appropriate departments as needed.
- Process member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments, ensuring all cash and check endorsements are verified.
- Maintain accurate cash drawer balances and prepare daily transaction reports for the Accounting Department.
- Deliver outstanding member service that aligns with our Quality Loop standards.
- Handle various administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and telephone inquiries.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team.
Qualifications:
Experience: A minimum of one month to twelve months in a similar role is preferred.
Education: High school diploma or GED is required.
Interpersonal Skills: This role involves significant interaction with members and colleagues, requiring strong communication skills, confidentiality, and the ability to resolve conflicts amicably.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in using calculators and computers, along with the ability to operate office equipment such as money counters and photocopiers.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and transport bags of coins (up to 20 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
Employment Type: Full Time
Work Hours: 39.5+ hours per week, with a flexible schedule as needed.
Compensation: $16 - $18 per hour, with starting salary based on relevant skills and experience.
