Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Construction Manager to oversee technical inspections within our hydro generation portfolio. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering teams to define inspection parameters, facilitate vendors to execute work, review data captured from vendors, manage accruals and payment to vendors, and maintain working relationships cross-functionally.

Key Responsibilities

* Apply advanced knowledge of professional and technical concepts to projects in multiple disciplines such as civil, electrical, and process instrumentation
* Compile and summarize program information to track progress on commitments
* Act as a subject matter expert in area of field
* Perform field visits as applicable based on the field condition and/or any issues with the information provided from the field
* Partner with Sourcing and others to ensure contact and record keeping compliance
* Manage, modify and update existing databases
* Manage the portfolio of assigned inspections and ensure all work is complete on time, on budget, on scope, and without adverse environmental or regulatory impacts
* Maintain public and employee safety on site at all times by promoting a positive safety culture, exhibiting an absolute commitment to safety for self and others, and by ensuring all applicable safety rules, regulations and standards are followed
* Help facilitate Project Meetings
* Ensure contractors follow their approved safety plans
* Coordinate and lead activities in support of inspections or audits

Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree in Construction or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
* Experience in construction, or related, 5 years
* Ability to travel up to 50 percent of working time

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in quality control, contracts
* Experience in contract administration
* Experience in contract administration, job-related
* Experience in engineering, industrial, or related, 7 years
