Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Meat Department Associate to join our team at Baker's, a part of The Kroger Company. As a Meat Department Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring that our meat department meets the highest standards of quality and freshness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet customers and provide them with good quality food, wait on customers and counter promptly and cheerfully, and be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions.
  • Store Maintenance: Unload and store merchandise, prepare and display foods in accordance with company standards, recipes, and policies, and maintain proper signage, product rotation, freshness, quantity, quality, and proper space allocation for merchandise.
  • Quality Control: Monitor product quality, ensure it is always fresh and safe, and perform required temperature monitoring.
  • Teamwork: Work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, communicate with customers and associates, and maintain a clean, neat, and friendly impression on customers.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in food preparation and customer service is preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to read shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials, and bulletins, and ability to multi-task, set priorities, present information in a professional manner, and work with all levels of the organization.
