Job Summary:

This part-time teaching position is available in the Health Sciences Department at Kilgore College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching dual credit courses to high school students in various formats, including in-person, online, hybrid, or multi-modal. The position requires a master's degree or higher in the subject area, with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the field. The salary range for this position is $1,800 to $2,000 per 3-hour course, depending on the level of education. The position also includes fringe benefits, such as worker's compensation and a limited part-time retirement plan. Responsibilities:

This position requires the following responsibilities:

  • Teaching dual credit courses to high school students in various formats
  • Developing course syllabi and checking and responding to KC email daily
  • Submitting various documentation in a timely manner
  • Fulfilling other responsibilities as needed


Requirements:

The successful candidate for this position must have a master's degree or higher in the subject area, with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the field. For career and technical education courses, various qualifications will be considered, such as degree earned and work experience. The position requires a background check and the successful candidate must submit official transcripts and proof of employment authorization.

Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $1,800 to $2,000 per 3-hour course, depending on the level of education. The position also includes fringe benefits, such as worker's compensation and a limited part-time retirement plan. Kilgore College does not participate in the federal Social Security program, and employees/retirees are subject to the federal Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP) and possibly the Government Pension Offset (GPO) laws.
