Job Summary:
Kilgore College is seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach a 16-week Biol 2420 (Microbiology for Non-Science Majors) lecture and laboratory course. The successful candidate will have a master's degree or higher and a minimum of 18 graduate hours in biology. Preference will be given to applicants with college-level teaching experience.
Responsibilities:
- Teach a 16-week Biol 2420 (Microbiology for Non-Science Majors) lecture and laboratory course
- Develop appropriate course syllabi
- Work with students as needed
Requirements:
- Mastery of microbiology
- Commitment to excellence in teaching at the community college level
- Master's degree or higher and a minimum of 18 graduate hours in biology
- Preference given to applicants with college-level teaching experience
Benefits:
- Salary for adjunct faculty members is based upon level of education and range from $1,800 per 3-hour course for a master's degree to $2,000 per 3-hour course for a doctorate
