Transportation Planner I

AECOM is seeking a skilled Transportation Planner I to join our team in Murray, UT. As a key member of our planning team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of transportation infrastructure in our region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support planning studies and reports for new and updated plans and programs.
  • Collect and analyze statistical data to prepare reports and maps on topics such as census information, land use, roadway network, crash records, and asset inventories.
  • Conduct equitable public outreach and prepare materials and presentations.
  • Analyze data and prepare detailed maps for use on thematic maps and in reports.
  • Conduct concept-level evaluation of transit/transportation improvement options.
  • Document and present findings on transit/transportation planning projects.
  • Research current transportation-related topics at local, state, and federal levels.

Requirements:

  • Recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree or currently pursuing a Master's degree in Urban Planning, Public Policy, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Sciences, Geography, Economics, or related fields.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency with Geographic Information Systems, including ArcMap and ArcGIS Online.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, or SketchUp.
  • Basic knowledge of transportation planning topics.
