Position Summary:The Financial Operations Supervisor for Further Processing is responsible for overseeing the financial activities associated with our manufacturing operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring precise financial reporting and operational analysis.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the collection and analysis of production yield data.
- Lead and develop a team of accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Analyze actual costs against standard costs and prepare variance reports.
- Conduct account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare and review yield and labor variance reports regularly to ensure accuracy.
- Support month-end closing processes and financial reporting.
- Coordinate budget preparation with production teams, utilizing Zero Base Budgeting methods.
- Assist in preparing financial forecasts and provide insights to management.
- Collaborate with auditors during financial audits, providing necessary documentation.
- Identify trends and opportunities for cost savings through financial data analysis.
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience required includes:
- A minimum of 4 years in relevant accounting roles.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory capacity managing a team.
- Experience in the food manufacturing sector is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
- Exceptional communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.
This position is primarily office-based, with a moderate noise level. The role may require occasional lifting and standing, along with the ability to travel as needed.
