International SOS Government Medical Services is seeking a skilled and compassionate Case Manager/Disability Specialist to provide expert consultative assistance for federal agencies in the assessment, management, and prevention of medically based lost time.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide consultative assistance to federal agencies to facilitate and integrate the assessment, management, and prevention of medically based lost-time cases.
  • Assist in the development of policies and programs, including early intervention strategies, limited/light duty options, and job analysis.
  • Conduct thorough workers' compensation file reviews focusing on lost-time cases, high-cost cases, and illness claims.
  • Analyze trends and problems in these cases, and provide detailed reports with recommendations to the agency for improving outcomes.
  • Assess data management information systems or manual methods used to document injuries and case management.
  • Ensure that all documentation and reporting are accurate and compliant with relevant regulations and best practices.
  • Demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills while interviewing agency employees, managers, healthcare providers, and Occupational Workers' Compensation Program (OWCP) personnel.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to develop comprehensive injury prevention and disease management programs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience in workers' compensation or a related field of medical employability.
  • Familiarity with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines.
  • Must possess one of the following certifications: Certification in Case Management (CCM), Certified Rehab Nurse (CRN), or Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN).
