The Alliance of Wound Care Stakeholders is seeking a highly skilled and organized Chief of Staff to provide executive-level support to the CEO, operational leadership to the organization, and management of key functions. This role requires a dynamic and proactive individual who can effectively manage multiple demands and priorities.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide strategic support to the CEO in defining and documenting long-term goals and annual priorities.
- Project manage the implementation of the Alliance's strategy and annual plans in consultation with the CEO and close coordination with the broader Alliance team.
- Develop and implement annual action plans for the Chief of Staff's area of responsibility, ensuring alignment with the CEO's expectations and the Alliance's overall strategy and priorities.
- Monitor progress towards organizational goals, providing regular updates to the Board of Directors as needed.
- Supervise the Membership and Communications functions, ensuring clear targets and annual action plans align with the CEO's expectations and the Alliance's overall strategy and priorities.
- Partner closely with the Membership Director and Communications Director to ensure effective team management and coordination.
- Manage the relationship with external contractors, ensuring contracts are in place, deliverables are completed, and work is closed out effectively.
- Monitor financial performance and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures and revenue-generating strategies.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
- Oversee the maintenance and improvement of the association's website, member portal, and other technologies.
- Manage the recruitment, onboarding, and professional development of new staff.
- Implement performance management systems and employee engagement initiatives.
- Oversee the operational planning and execution of association events, including conferences, strategic planning meetings, educational programs, and member meetings.
- Act as Board liaison, in consultation with the CEO, supporting Board development initiatives and managing the new Board member onboarding process.
- Prepare strategic updates, key reports, and presentations for the Board of Directors.
- Coordinate Board meetings, including agenda preparation, material distribution, and follow-up on action items.
The ideal candidate for this role is experienced in working with founders or CEOs of smaller-sized nonprofit organizations or trade associations, has management experience, understands the healthcare (and ideally, wound care) industry, is proactive and solution-oriented, and understands how to balance implementation of strategic priorities while tackling day-to-day operational needs. The Chief of Staff position reports to the CEO and is responsible for managing the Membership Director and Communications Director.
