Chief Dosimetrist Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Dosimetrist to join our team at Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida. As a key member of our Radiation Oncology department, you will be responsible for designing and implementing treatment plans for patients with cancer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement treatment plans using advanced computer software and radiation therapy equipment.
  • Collaborate with radiation oncologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and effective treatment delivery.
  • Supervise and train radiation therapists and other staff members to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in radiation oncology and medical dosimetry through ongoing education and professional development.

Requirements:

  • Certified by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB)
  • Currently licensed in the state of Florida as RT (T)
  • Masters degree in Medical Dosimetry from a JCERT-accredited program
  • Three years of clinical medical dosimetry experience preferred
