Role Summary:

The Patient Service Representative plays a crucial role in the administrative operations of our medical practice. This position involves welcoming and assisting patients and visitors, ensuring a smooth flow of information and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to established departmental policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Schedule patient appointments with healthcare providers according to established protocols.
  • Gather essential demographic and medical information from patients upon arrival.
  • Complete the registration process, ensuring accurate documentation and verification of insurance details.
  • Maintain familiarity with insurance procedures and provider participation.
  • Assist in the organization and filing of medical records as needed.
  • Engage in professional development through educational programs and workshops.
  • Utilize effective communication techniques as part of the A-I-D-E-T framework.
  • Participate in meetings and committees as required.
  • Collaborate with patients, physicians, and care team members to enhance patient care.

Qualifications:

Education: No specific educational requirements; a combination of education and experience demonstrating the necessary skills is acceptable. Preference may be given to candidates with a high school diploma or GED.

Experience: A minimum of one year in a customer service or medical office setting is preferred. Strong communication skills are essential.

Licensure: No licensure requirements.
