Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Technician II to join our team at HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital. As a Cardiovascular Technician II, you will play a critical role in assisting in cardiac catheterization, vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures, and emergency procedures associated with catheterization procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in cardiac catheterization, vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures
  • Perform emergency procedures associated with catheterization procedures
  • Follow established standards and practices under the direction of a credentialed invasive cardiologist or credentialed invasive radiologist
  • Demonstrate responsibility and accountability in recognizing and identifying potential and actual patient problems
  • Prioritize resources to patient care and diagnostic activities based on accurate patient information and staff capabilities
  • Demonstrate knowledge of cardiac A & P, with specific conditions, diseases (CAD), and treatment therapies for the specific patient populations of the Department
  • Demonstrate knowledge and competency to perform Cath lab procedures
  • Assist in data collection r/t cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, renal and peripheral vascular status
  • Document findings and reports abnormal or out-of-range results to physician
Qualifications
  • High school or GED required
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Cardiovascular Technology and/or RCIS Certification and/or ARRT IR
  • Two years experience in licensed field and one year cardiac cath lab experience
  • LPN one year experience with Critical Care course within one year of hire or one year Cath Lab experience or one year RCIS or CVT or Graduate of accredited RCVT program
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
