Job Summary:The Patient Care Technician II functions under the direct supervision of a professional nurse and is responsible for performing specific duties and contributing to the nursing team. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Assist the nurse in gathering information and making observations regarding the patient's condition.
- Perform specific duties and tasks as assigned by the nurse, including vital sign collection, medication administration, and patient transportation.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- BLS Certification through American Heart Association.
- Enrolled in a Nursing Program, current EMT certification, Medical Assistant Certified, Phlebotomist Certified, EKG tech or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
RWJBarnabas Health offers a competitive hourly rate of $21.00 to $27.00, depending on relevant experience, education, and skills. In addition to base salary, we offer excellent benefits, including health and welfare benefits, tuition reimbursement, retirement benefits, employee assistance programs, and many opportunities for professional and personal growth.
