BRIEF OVERVIEW:
The Carpenter - Skilled Tradesman is a proficient and adaptable laborer with expertise in carpentry across various sectors of residential and commercial reconstruction, showcasing a solid history in insurance restoration tasks. Strong communication abilities are vital throughout the rebuilding process. Carpenters report directly to the Project Manager. Candidates should possess a dependable vehicle and tools to perform tasks to a high standard.

HOURLY PAY RANGE: $36.00

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • General carpentry for both residential and commercial projects
  • Demolition tasks
  • Tile installation
  • Cabinet installation
  • Trim carpentry including baseboards
  • Door installation and taping
  • Painting duties
  • Basic electrical and plumbing work
  • Rough framing, including re-framing structures and setting trusses
  • Ensure client and company satisfaction through professional demeanor, expert craftsmanship, and courteous communication
  • Adhere to safety, quality, and procedural standards
SUPERVISORY ROLE:
  • This position does not have direct reports
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
  • Proven experience as a skilled carpenter is essential
  • Familiarity with carpentry and the use of related hand and power tools
  • Self-driven and motivated
  • Able to work in confined spaces (e.g., crawl spaces)
  • Ability to comprehend and follow both oral and written instructions
  • Effective communication skills in both oral and written forms for necessary documentation
  • Recognize hazards in designated work areas
  • Work safely without posing a direct risk to oneself or others
  • Meet the mental and physical demands of the role
  • Capable of interacting with others in a professional manner
  • Maintain a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Successfully pass a national criminal background check and motor vehicle report check
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screening
EDUCATION:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required
