BRIEF OVERVIEW:
The Carpenter - Skilled Tradesman is a proficient and adaptable laborer with expertise in carpentry across various sectors of residential and commercial reconstruction, showcasing a solid history in insurance restoration tasks. Strong communication abilities are vital throughout the rebuilding process. Carpenters report directly to the Project Manager. Candidates should possess a dependable vehicle and tools to perform tasks to a high standard.
HOURLY PAY RANGE: $36.00
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- General carpentry for both residential and commercial projects
- Demolition tasks
- Tile installation
- Cabinet installation
- Trim carpentry including baseboards
- Door installation and taping
- Painting duties
- Basic electrical and plumbing work
- Rough framing, including re-framing structures and setting trusses
- Ensure client and company satisfaction through professional demeanor, expert craftsmanship, and courteous communication
- Adhere to safety, quality, and procedural standards
- This position does not have direct reports
- Proven experience as a skilled carpenter is essential
- Familiarity with carpentry and the use of related hand and power tools
- Self-driven and motivated
- Able to work in confined spaces (e.g., crawl spaces)
- Ability to comprehend and follow both oral and written instructions
- Effective communication skills in both oral and written forms for necessary documentation
- Recognize hazards in designated work areas
- Work safely without posing a direct risk to oneself or others
- Meet the mental and physical demands of the role
- Capable of interacting with others in a professional manner
- Maintain a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
- Successfully pass a national criminal background check and motor vehicle report check
- Pass a pre-employment drug screening
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required
