The Carpenter - Skilled Tradesman is a seasoned professional skilled in carpentry with experience in residential and commercial rebuilding, including insurance restoration work. Effective communication skills are essential for successful project execution. The Carpenter reports directly to the Project Manager and is expected to possess a reliable truck and tools to execute tasks to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • General carpentry - residential and commercial
  • Demolition
  • Tile Work
  • Hanging cabinets
  • Trim carpentry-baseboards
  • Door hanging and taping
  • Painting
  • Light electrical/plumbing
  • Rough framing consisting of re-framing homes and setting trusses
  • Ensure company and customer satisfaction through professional appearance, expert workmanship, and polite communication
  • Comply with safety, quality, and procedural standards
Requirements:
  • Direct experience working as a skilled carpenter is required
  • Knowledge of carpentry and use of carpentry-related hand and power tools
  • Self-motivated
  • Work in confined areas (crawl space)
  • Understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • Communicate effectively in oral and written forms to execute required paperwork
  • Identify hazards in assigned work areas
  • Work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others
  • Meet the mental and physical demands of the job
  • Ability to work with people in a professional manner
  • Maintains a valid and current driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Successfully pass a national criminal background check and motor vehicle report background check
