Rework surface mount technology (SMT) components.

  • Execute modifications in accordance with Engineering Change Orders.
  • Examine assemblies to ensure compliance with IPC-A-610 quality standards.
  • Assess components and identify common defects in components and soldering, as well as improper use of flux and PCB cleaning.
  • Alter and repair products following applicable documentation and procedures.
  • Conduct meticulous work on component boards and utilize fine-pitch solder on components.
  • Utilize Bill of Material (BOM), Engineering Change Orders, and process work orders to ensure each unit adheres to current specifications, maintaining 100% accuracy, functional operation, and quality.
  • Remove and replace through-hole components (resistors, capacitors, diodes, integrated circuits, transistors, switches, fuses, connectors, transformers, inductors, LEDs) and SMT components (discrete components, gullwing and J Lead components).
  • Employ standard work documentation, including diagrams, photos, and written/verbal instructions, along with personal judgment based on specialized knowledge to rework product units per procedures.
  • Guarantee workmanship and quality of the product.
  • Engage in multiple and varied assignments, recognizing and indicating where deviations from accepted practices are necessary.
  • Consistent and regular attendance is essential to ensure quality workflow.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned to ensure 100% quality, accuracy, and product verification.

Communication:

Must possess both oral and written communication skills to interact with supervisors and co-workers, and to comprehend written and verbal instructions.


Computer Skills:
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, with the ability to learn Word, Excel, Access, and other software applications.

Assembly and Inspection:

Perform necessary actions to assemble and inspect to ensure quality performance, including knowledge and application of IPC-A-610 quality standards.

The candidate must pay close attention to detail while working in a high-volume, fast-paced, quality-oriented, and high-stress environment.

Initiative:
Be self-motivated and capable of working as a team member in a continuous improvement environment.

Technical Skills:

The candidate must have experience in removing and replacing components (resistors, capacitors, diodes, integrated circuits, transistors, switches, fuses, connectors, transformers, inductors, LEDs, discrete components, gullwing, and J Lead components).

Experience with SMT fine pitch components (lead width < 50 mil) is required. Familiarity with identifying common component and soldering defects, including the proper use of flux is essential.

Prior CCA soldering experience or similar experience is necessary.
