Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Advocacy Supervisor to join our team at Voices for Children. As an Advocacy Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring that the dependency children assigned to our volunteer advocates receive the advocacy they need. You will work closely with our volunteer advocates, providing supervision and support to ensure that they are equipped to effectively advocate for the best interests of the children in their care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the dependency children assigned to volunteer advocates receive the advocacy they need.
  • Ensure that the children's best interests are presented to the Court by volunteer advocates.
  • Ensure that the needs of the volunteers are met and that they are supported.
  • Ensure that the policies and procedures of Voices for Children are followed by all volunteers.
  • Carry out all assigned responsibilities.
  • Assist with volunteer recruitment, training, and retention efforts.
  • Promote the mission of Voices for Children in the community.

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent experience in volunteer management, social work, case management, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Willingness to learn and desire to grow professionally.
  • Access to reliable transportation for frequent travel throughout Riverside County and occasional travel to San Diego County.
  • Must meet all screening requirements as set down in the California Rules of Court, Rule 5.655.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 2 years' relevant work experience.
  • Experience working in a non-profit organization.
  • Volunteer work experience.

Work Environment

The Advocacy Supervisor will work in a professional office environment with a small team. The position requires the ability to work extended hours as needed, including nights and weekends during special events. Daily extensive driving throughout Riverside County is required.
