Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Job Summary:
As a Field Service Engineer at Powerhouse Resources Inc, you will be responsible for preparing mechanical overhauls, repairs, and executing service solutions in compliance with customer specifications and contractual agreements. This includes planning, designing tools, machines, and turbo compressors. You will work on complex equipment such as Axial Flow Compressors, Radial Split Casing Compressors, Radial Barrel Compressors, Gear Compressors, Screw Compressors, Steam Turbines, Hot Gas Expanders, Multi-stage in line Centrifugal Compressors, Single and Multi-stage Gear Compressors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports to determine installation procedures.
  • Supervise the installation, overhaul, and repair of turbo compressors, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and contractual agreements.
  • Consult with customers and supervisors to plan the layout of equipment and resolve any operational issues.
  • Develop and implement production plans, including the selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, and operation of product designs.
  • Install and repair turbo compressor parts and products, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Operate and test equipment to demonstrate its functionality and identify any malfunctions.
  • Repair equipment using knowledge of mechanical engineering and standard test instruments and hand tools.
  • Train and direct workers in servicing and repairing equipment, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Consult with customers to explain the features and functions of products and resolve any technical issues.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
  • Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
  • Conduct research to test and analyze the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of equipment, components, and systems.
  • Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and make recommendations to the maintenance crew.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university, or ten or more years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least five years of experience in the field or in a related area, with a strong background in rotating equipment (Steam Turbine, Turbo Compressor, and Expander) or manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in the use of precision measuring tools, materials and safety, job planning, rotating equipment mechanical experience, and training in crane and rigging and heavy lift procedures.

  • 3rd party certifications or qualifications in relevant fields.
