- Perform repairs, maintenance, installations, and refurbishments of equipment following established service schedules and company standards, while troubleshooting and resolving issues on-site.
- Accurately document all completed work and submit reports to office staff in accordance with company policies, including detailed descriptions of tasks performed, parts replaced, and customer authorizations.
- Collaborate with management and other departments to ensure timely completion of work orders, promptly escalating any potential delays or issues.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the service vehicle, reporting any maintenance needs to management and ensuring routine upkeep.
- Ensure the vehicle is stocked with necessary parts as per company inventory policies and seek approval for any additional tools required.
- Keep the work environment organized and clean, ensuring all equipment is properly labeled and accounted for.
- Exhibit a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service, addressing any customer concerns to management as needed.
- Carry out other related duties as assigned.
To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Licenses: A valid driver’s license and a Refrigeration (EPA) universal license are required. Preference will be given to candidates with additional certifications such as CFESA or Journeyman Licenses.
- Education/Experience: A high school diploma or GED, with a minimum of three years of relevant experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret business documents, technical manuals, and governmental regulations. Proficient in writing reports and business correspondence.
- Mathematical Skills: Competence in applying mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios to practical situations.
- Reasoning Skills: Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions, interpreting technical instructions in various forms.
- Computer Skills: Familiarity with the internet, smartphones, tablets, and software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
The work environment is typically moderate in noise level, with exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, and extreme temperatures. Overtime and on-call work may be required.
Physical DemandsRegularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with arms. Frequent stooping, kneeling, and lifting of up to 75 pounds may be necessary.
