  • Reviews and interprets physician diet orders, ensuring alignment with clinical findings, and engages in communication with healthcare providers regarding patient nutritional management as necessary.
  • Records the outcomes of nutritional evaluations, the medical nutrition therapy initiated, and the overall care plan in the patient's medical documentation.
  • Delivers nutrition education to individuals and groups, providing guidance to patients and their families on healthy food choices, meal preparation, and planning tailored to their unique lifestyles and health conditions.
  • Keeps meticulous records of daily clinical activities, ensuring accurate documentation for scheduling and billing purposes.
  • Offers daily mentorship and oversight to Graduate Dietitians, contributing to the education of dietetic interns and students through structured learning experiences and performance evaluations.
  • Demonstrates the ability to provide age-appropriate care, understanding the principles of growth and development across the lifespan, and interprets data to meet each patient's specific needs.
Qualifications:
  • State-issued Dietitian certification and registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics or equivalent educational background.
  • No prior experience is necessary.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Completion of a CADE accredited internship or coordinated dietetic program.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Excellent organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements:
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as sitting, standing, walking, lifting, and bending throughout the workday.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required.
