Job Title: Registered Nurse - Oncology Specialist

Job Summary:

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as an Oncology Specialist. This is a unique opportunity to work with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide ongoing care to patients with cancer, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Assess educational needs and provide teaching and counseling to patients and their families.
• Integrate health promotion and preventive aspects of care to ensure comprehensive patient support.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical and patient records according to agency, state, and federal guidelines.

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Associate's Degree in Nursing.
• Typically requires 2 years of experience in an acute care nursing setting, including experience in oncology.
